JimLitttles_crop The Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to serve in a variety of ministry capacities during my adult life. My wife, Sherri, has walked with me through this entire process. As with most ministers, the journey has not always followed a direct path. For example, when I left my season of bi-vocational church leadership in western New York (pastor and elementary school teacher), I thought I would be in Bible college ministry long enough to complete my seminary degree. Pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree opened the door for army chaplaincy – my area of calling at the time. Faithfulness to the calling, however, did not provide the open door Sherri and I anticipated. An accident during my second summer of military training rendered me physically non-deployable by the army’s standards. What started as three years of Apostolic higher education wound up being 27 years of teaching! During those years I also had the privilege to conduct itinerate ministries of teaching, preaching, writing, consulting, conducting seminars, and providing academic training. Now another change allows me split my time between these ministries at service at North Cities UPC in Garland, Texas.
